Who says you need a crowd to have a tea party? This lovely, bone china teacup and pot are perfect for those solo moments. The teapot and cup are intricately hand painted in glorious technicolour with a design inspired by the classic movie, ‘The Wizard of Oz’
The lid of the teapot and the saucer feature lines from the Judy Garland’s big number, ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ and the cup features Dorothy’s classic (and often misquoted line), ‘I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.’
The teapot is handpainted with Glinda the Good Witch in all her sparkliy pink and silver glory and on the other side, her nemesis, the Wicked Witch of the West. The cup features Dorothy in her red slippers and on the other side, her little dog, Toto. Finally, on the saucer, you can just see the feet of the Wicked Witch of the East after Dorothy’s house (or in this case, the teapot and cup) landed on her!
The wide, bistro style cup is quite large, but the quality, bone china keeps it light and there's plenty of room on the saucer for a biscuit or two.
